2014 Jaguar F-Type

The 550 hp Jaguar F-TYPE with 502 feet of torque at 3,500 rpm uses a 5.0 Liter V8 Supercharged engine. Wow, that took a while to say. Anyway, this sports car has a top speed of 186 mph and can accelerate up to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. Jaguar creates cars that lead the supercharged induction technology and it pays off for them, big time. This is what gives the car its linear power delivery and high levels of torque at might I say, all engine speeds. Amazing, isn't it. How you can pack so much into one car. Well, there's only one way to explain it. Jaguar.

2014 Ferrari LaFerrari

The 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari is about the best it gets in the super car business. This 950-hp car runs off a 6.4 Liter V-12 engine. It features a lighter crankshaft, equal length six-into-one headers formed, or hydroformed, from Inconel, and lastly, variable-length intake runners. All of this helps make the extra 59 hp. Also, an electric motor that hangs off the back contributes another 161 hp. Lastly, this car can accelerate up to 62 mph in less than 3 seconds. All this topped off with a beautiful exterior gives you one very luxurious car.

2014 Mercedes-Benz SLK350

The all-new Mercedes-Benz SLK350 got a lot better this year. The past SLK had a 185-hp 2.3 Liter, four-cylinder engine that didn't sound nearly as good as this one. The old one sound like popcorn popping and now that Mercedes Benz has replaced their cars with 6-cylinder engines, the car feels a lot smoother at higher speeds and you can definitely hear it in the engine. This car has 258 pound-feet of torch which provides 30-50 and 50-70 mph top-gear passing times. If you decide to get this car, be aware of the tachometer because before you know it you'll be in 6,500 rpm fuel-cutoff range. If you notice this just slowly decrease your speed. If you ever get to this point, you'll most likely be in the short first and second gears. Anyway, this sports car can reach up to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. Not the best acceleration but not the best engine either. This car can go 161 mph which is pretty good for an engine its size. It's still confuses people like me why it didn't stop at 155 mph. The current price for this car is $56,225.

2014 Mazda Miata MX-5

The 2014 Mazda Miata MX-5 may not be the most luxurious sports car but it is still a pretty nice car. It uses a 2.0 Liter Inline 4-cylinder engine. It is 167 horsepower and 22/28 mpg. This car comes with two basic configurations, a soft-top or a power retractable hardtop. Three transmissions come with this car, including a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, and a six-speed automatic with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. Overall, this sleek convertible sports car is a decent car to own, and is very affordable. The prices range from $23,700 to $29,450. 

2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan

Striking Interior and Exterior

The all-new 2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan has a beautiful interior and exterior. This luxurious car uses authentic materials including the choice of exotic woods. Also, anodized aluminum or carbon fiber, make this car an even better experience for you. An electric cup holder that opens when needed makes this car even better. Oh, and might I add that the steering wheel is heated for cold winters. Enhanced interior lighting highlights the dash and door trim, illuminating the interior making it seem even more exquisite. You can enjoy this while using the vehicle's astonishing voice-recognition system. But that isn't all, this car also has an amazing self-parking system that will scan the area for an available parking spot and steers itself into it. You may use the shifter brake and accelerator as needed. Lastly, this car has an astounding system that will help you only focus on the tunes you're listening to. The car automatically drains power terrain noises by sending out opposing non-audible frequencies to help you maintain a peaceful ride.

Now lets get to the exterior. This car features and integrated rear spoiler that was designed to manage critical airflow at the rear of the vehicle. This results in a greater down force and a firmly planted feel at higher speeds. The Crystalline LED light guides are located just below the headlights at the front of the car and provide smooth white illumination. This entirely eliminates the need for fog lamps. Also, all versions of this car come with a Drive Awareness Package that helps you stay safe at all times. This package features Forward Collision Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, etc. When I say etc. I mean etc. because there are a lot more safety features that I'm not going to go into detail with. This is just for the sake of time. This car also features powerful Brembo front brakes that include massive 13.6" front rotors and high-performance brake linings. Lastly the prices range from $45,100 to $72, 300.

2013 Audi R8

Pros and Cons

The 2013 Audi R8 is rated #3 among all Luxury Sports Cars by U.S. News. This super car can reach up to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and uses a 4.2 Liter V8-cylinder engine. Let's go through some of the pros to this car and then we'll get to the cons in just a second. This car has a very comfortable cabin and is easy to drive fast or slow. Also, this car uses traditional and quick-shifting automated manual transmissions and has an elating soundtrack.

Now let's get to the cons. I only have a couple comments against this car. First of all, it has very limited storage space, and second of all, the outdated electronics interface really gets on my nerves. But, overall this car has a beautiful exterior and has great acceleration.

2013 Aston Martin DB9

The Aston Martin DB9 is a very high priced Sports car. It's steering, handling, and braking are hard to tell apart and it uses a very loud 6.0 Liter V12 engine that makes the car feel quick in the mid-range. This car is 470 horsepower and has 443 pound-feet of torque. Lastly, A 6 speed automatic with paddle shifters is the only transmission available, and is found at the rear transaxle for better weight distribution. The prices range from $183,300 to $198,300.
