2014 Jaguar F-Type

The 550 hp Jaguar F-TYPE with 502 feet of torque at 3,500 rpm uses a 5.0 Liter V8 Supercharged engine. Wow, that took a while to say. Anyway, this sports car has a top speed of 186 mph and can accelerate up to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. Jaguar creates cars that lead the supercharged induction technology and it pays off for them, big time. This is what gives the car its linear power delivery and high levels of torque at might I say, all engine speeds. Amazing, isn't it. How you can pack so much into one car. Well, there's only one way to explain it. Jaguar.

2014 Ferrari LaFerrari

The 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari is about the best it gets in the super car business. This 950-hp car runs off a 6.4 Liter V-12 engine. It features a lighter crankshaft, equal length six-into-one headers formed, or hydroformed, from Inconel, and lastly, variable-length intake runners. All of this helps make the extra 59 hp. Also, an electric motor that hangs off the back contributes another 161 hp. Lastly, this car can accelerate up to 62 mph in less than 3 seconds. All this topped off with a beautiful exterior gives you one very luxurious car.

2014 Mercedes-Benz SLK350

The all-new Mercedes-Benz SLK350 got a lot better this year. The past SLK had a 185-hp 2.3 Liter, four-cylinder engine that didn't sound nearly as good as this one. The old one sound like popcorn popping and now that Mercedes Benz has replaced their cars with 6-cylinder engines, the car feels a lot smoother at higher speeds and you can definitely hear it in the engine. This car has 258 pound-feet of torch which provides 30-50 and 50-70 mph top-gear passing times. If you decide to get this car, be aware of the tachometer because before you know it you'll be in 6,500 rpm fuel-cutoff range. If you notice this just slowly decrease your speed. If you ever get to this point, you'll most likely be in the short first and second gears. Anyway, this sports car can reach up to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. Not the best acceleration but not the best engine either. This car can go 161 mph which is pretty good for an engine its size. It's still confuses people like me why it didn't stop at 155 mph. The current price for this car is $56,225.

2014 Mazda Miata MX-5

The 2014 Mazda Miata MX-5 may not be the most luxurious sports car but it is still a pretty nice car. It uses a 2.0 Liter Inline 4-cylinder engine. It is 167 horsepower and 22/28 mpg. This car comes with two basic configurations, a soft-top or a power retractable hardtop. Three transmissions come with this car, including a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, and a six-speed automatic with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. Overall, this sleek convertible sports car is a decent car to own, and is very affordable. The prices range from $23,700 to $29,450. 

2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan

Striking Interior and Exterior

The all-new 2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan has a beautiful interior and exterior. This luxurious car uses authentic materials including the choice of exotic woods. Also, anodized aluminum or carbon fiber, make this car an even better experience for you. An electric cup holder that opens when needed makes this car even better. Oh, and might I add that the steering wheel is heated for cold winters. Enhanced interior lighting highlights the dash and door trim, illuminating the interior making it seem even more exquisite. You can enjoy this while using the vehicle's astonishing voice-recognition system. But that isn't all, this car also has an amazing self-parking system that will scan the area for an available parking spot and steers itself into it. You may use the shifter brake and accelerator as needed. Lastly, this car has an astounding system that will help you only focus on the tunes you're listening to. The car automatically drains power terrain noises by sending out opposing non-audible frequencies to help you maintain a peaceful ride.

Now lets get to the exterior. This car features and integrated rear spoiler that was designed to manage critical airflow at the rear of the vehicle. This results in a greater down force and a firmly planted feel at higher speeds. The Crystalline LED light guides are located just below the headlights at the front of the car and provide smooth white illumination. This entirely eliminates the need for fog lamps. Also, all versions of this car come with a Drive Awareness Package that helps you stay safe at all times. This package features Forward Collision Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, etc. When I say etc. I mean etc. because there are a lot more safety features that I'm not going to go into detail with. This is just for the sake of time. This car also features powerful Brembo front brakes that include massive 13.6" front rotors and high-performance brake linings. Lastly the prices range from $45,100 to $72, 300.

2013 Audi R8

Pros and Cons

The 2013 Audi R8 is rated #3 among all Luxury Sports Cars by U.S. News. This super car can reach up to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and uses a 4.2 Liter V8-cylinder engine. Let's go through some of the pros to this car and then we'll get to the cons in just a second. This car has a very comfortable cabin and is easy to drive fast or slow. Also, this car uses traditional and quick-shifting automated manual transmissions and has an elating soundtrack.

Now let's get to the cons. I only have a couple comments against this car. First of all, it has very limited storage space, and second of all, the outdated electronics interface really gets on my nerves. But, overall this car has a beautiful exterior and has great acceleration.

2013 Aston Martin DB9

The Aston Martin DB9 is a very high priced Sports car. It's steering, handling, and braking are hard to tell apart and it uses a very loud 6.0 Liter V12 engine that makes the car feel quick in the mid-range. This car is 470 horsepower and has 443 pound-feet of torque. Lastly, A 6 speed automatic with paddle shifters is the only transmission available, and is found at the rear transaxle for better weight distribution. The prices range from $183,300 to $198,300.

2013 Jaguar XF

The 2013 Jaguar XF ranks 3 out of 14 in the the Luxury Large Cars list. The Jaguar XF doesn't come with a standard V8 engine but it still has it's luxurious interior, athletic handling, and a lower base price for 2013. This car now has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. An eight-speed auto transmission comes in all models giving the car quick, smooth shifts. Most critics say that its steering is a bit vague but the car's agile handling makes up for it. This car does have a couple rivals though. The Audi A6 2.0T and the BMW 528i have similar engines and use a lot less fuel.

You better not be tall

The front seats are comfortable and supportive but this car doesn't seem to like tall people. The XF's low roofline cuts into the back seat headroom making entering and exiting this car difficult for taller occupants. That's really the only setback though. Overall, this car has a beautiful interior, a decent engine, and a great transmission.

2014 Corvette Stingray

The all new Corvette Stingray was built for extreme precision driving and is the best in its class. This car features an aluminum frame just like every 2014 Corvette. The chassis is now made up of five sections using hydroformed aluminum, cast aluminum, and extruded aluminum. This is instead of two uniformly thick, hydroformed rails. This results in a 99-pound weight reduction with a 57% increase in stiffness. Also, this car uses Brembo brakes and an all new 6.2 Liter small-block V8 engine. Although this is the same displacement of the C6, this C7 version has 450 horsepower and 450 pounds per feet of torque. Lastly, this car can reach 60 mph in less than 4 seconds. Not the best acceleration for a Sports car but still impressive.

2013 Bugatti Veyron

The 2013 Bugatti Veyron is currently the World's greatest road car. It has a 8 Liter engine with 1200 horsepower. The company managed to achieve this 1200 horsepower engine by squeezing in four enlarged turbochargers and intercoolers. This car can get up to 253 mph in about 43 minutes and can maintain this speed for 12 minutes until all the fuel is gone. 253 mph is currently the top speed for any car right now. Also, this car is currently the quickest to reach 60 mph which is about every car engineer's goal. It can reach 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Quite amazing isn't it. Anyway, this car is lowered just 3.5 feet from the ground. A hydraulic spoil extends at speed, but it can also work as an air brake. Believe it or not, this car ways a devastating 4,160 pounds but even the harshest critics say that its handling is surprisingly sharp.

2012 Porsche Cayman

The 2012 Porsche Cayman is the final model year for the generation of 2012. It contains a mid-engine design and a choice of flat-six-cylinder engines. Also, may I add the front and rear cargo areas. I will now fly through the exterior features. This car has 2 doors and a rear cargo liftgate. The car also has power door mirrors and heated door mirrors. Lastly, this car has an advanced spoiler and a dual exhaust.

The prices range from $51,900 to $67,500. This might be a little off topic but the Cayman S Black Edition is completely "Black." It features black paint, black safety bars, a black top, black air intakes, black 19-inch wheels, and black exhaust pipes. This Porsche will contain 2 different engines with two different power outputs. Overall, this car is the same as the last but the exterior has become a lot more attractive.

Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4

A Definite Improvement

The Lamborghini Aventador is an awesome two-door, two-seater sports car. This car was shown to the world at the Geneva Motor Show on February 8th, 2011. This was only 5 months after it was unveiled in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Northern Italy. This car was supposed to be the newer version of the Murcielago. The Murcielago was released 10 years back at the same place where the Aventador was released. One of the differences between the Aventador and the Murcielago is that the Aventador has wide side vents and pretty big rear fenders. The rear end of the Aventador also contains a massive diffuser. This is only the back, don't get me started with the front of this super car. The front end features larger and wider air intakes, a huge splitter, and big flaps. This results in "an increase in aerodynamic efficiency of more than 50 percent." This is what the press release discussed without going any further into detail. Anyways, the company decided to make the car yellow since that's the most popular color in the Lamborghini business. The interior features a black and brown theme, or if that's not suitable, the interior may be swathed in yellow. The leather in the inside with be a special "Sabbia Nefertem." The car also features a separate LCD screen to control the stereo and navigation system functions and one huge LCD screen for the instrumentation. This includes equipments like electronic brake distribution, ESP stability control, speed-dependent servo-tronic steering, anti-slip control and much more. 

One Very Powerful Engine

The Aventador comes with an even more powerful engine then the Murcielago. A 6.5 Liter engine to be exact. According to the company, the performance has not changed at all. The car will accelerate up to 60 mph in a 3 second span. The top speed of this car will still be an astonishing 217 mph.

Technical Specifications

Now just to go over things I might not of gone over before. The frame will be made of Carbon Fiber monocoque with an Aluminum front and rear frames to go with it. The body of this car will contain a Carbon fiber engine bonnet, a movable engine spoiler, and side air inlets. The body will also have an Aluminum front bonnet, front fenders and doors, and also an SMC rear fender and a rocker cover. Some of you may care about the mirrors so listen up. The external mirrors will be heated and are electronically adjustable and foldable. The Rear Spoiler will be foldable in 3 positions depending on speed and drive select mode. Now to quickly go over the suspension. This car will have a front and rear horizontal mono-tube damper with a push-rod system. The steering gear will have 3 different servortonic characteristics controlled by drive select mode. The front tires will be a Pirelli 255/35 ZR19, and the rear tires will be a Pirelli 335/30 ZR20.
